FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Within reason, almost as fast as you want. The best terminal effect with Fox bullets is with an impact velocity between 600 and 800m/s (1960fps - 2800fps).
On smaller game like wild dogs, hog deer or foxes about 600m/s (1960fps), while on bigger game like fallow deer or red deer, down to 500m/s (1640fps).
Our bullets are usually shorter due to their shape, so they can be used in most cases at the same twist rates as the same weight lead bullets. For example the .30Cal (165gr) bullet can still be stabilised at a 1:12 twist rate.

We used standard stability calculators, like the “twist rate stability calculator” that Berger uses. Our tests have shown that even where it says marginal stability, our bullets are still well stabilised.
Since our bullets are made from a copper alloy, and not purely copper, they tend to leave less material in the barrel. The material of Fox Bullets is actually similar to the material of the jackets of lead bullets. Since our bullets have grooves, the contact surface of the lands in the barrel is even less than conventional jacketed lead bullets. With all things combined, as a result no excessive wear of the barrel is presented. Also when we do the CIP proofing for our ammo we get the same velocities as with lead bullets at the same or even lower chamber pressures.
We are trying to add more projectiles to our repertoire in varying calibres and weights. The demand from our customers will provide us with a better idea of what we should stock. Please feel free to email us and describe your requirements. We will try our best to fulfill your requirements.
